Offset printing, also known as “offset lithography”, is a method of mass-production printing in which the pictures on metal plates are transferred (offset) to rubber blankets or rollers and then to the print media. The print media, normally paper, does not come into direct contact with the metal plates. They did the printing this way due to the fact that it was more efficient. Although the print is more expensive it’s higher quality and more effective. litho-printing1.jpg
