In this lesson, we had to create 3 flags; Gambia, Greece and South Africa. We could only use the Rectangle tool and pen tool to create these shapes. We set up the document, by incorporating guides and rulers to help with the positioning and alignment of the flags. Here is the image of the 3 flags that we created in Adobe Illustrator: Screen Shot 2016-09-28 at 11.02.13.png

Here is the step by step process in which we applied the tools:

Step 1: We used the Pen tool and the Rectangular shape tool to create the simple shape design for the different flags.Screen Shot 2016-10-20 at 10.05.00.png

Step 2: Once we had selected the pen tool, we traced over the flag shapes, for example: The Gambia Flag has three stripes, we traced over all the individual blocks and copied and pasted them once we had the correct size. Then we filled the shapes in with the appropriate colour.

Step 3: We applied his method for each flag. Furthermore, we also used the flags from google images for tracing and reference. Screen Shot 2016-10-20 at 10.21.39.png
